What to put on my son and daughter's birthday wish lists? I pondered this question for a long time and finally found a great answer. Amazon.com sells a great selection of green toys. These toys are so neat! Some toys are made from recycled mild jugs, some are made from recycled sprigwood.
They are fun, American made, easy to use and help save the planet. What more could you want? My daughter got the Green Toys Tea Set and the Green Toys Gardening Set for her birthday from Gramma and Grandpa. My son ended up with the excavator from Sprig Toys and the Green Toys Gardening Set for his birthday. The both love both of the toys and have played with them a lot.
I highly recommend looking for "green toys" at your local toy store.
Enjoy!

Recycle with your neighbors!
Craigslist is the best way to recycle unwanted items in good condition. Our local school is having a huge clothing sale and the details are on Craigslist to alert the community.
Your kids might have the BEST "green" ideas
My son outgrew his new sneakers in about a month. I was happy to get him another pair, but I didn't want to throw the old pair in the trash. Many consignment stores are really picky with used shoes. I wasn't sure what to do with them. I decided to ask him about it. He had a wonderful idea. He said, "Mom, why don't I take them to the school nurse? She is always looking for extra pairs of shoes that aren't very used." I thought this was a fantastic idea! The next day he took the shoes to the nurse and she was thrilled. The nurse said, "This is like a gift. I really like it. Thank you!" What a great way to recycle and help a child who might need shoes someday at school. Thanks J :-)
